Check service status before you log a ticket

Is it only you, or is Microsoft 365 having a bad day?

2 min read Updated

Sometimes the problem isn't your device or your network, it's a cloud service having a bad day. Checking service status first can save you time, and tells you whether there's anything to fix at your end.

Check the status page

Our service status page shows live health for the platforms most of our clients rely on, including:

  • Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure
  • CodeTwo Signatures
  • Cloudflare
  • The NBN
  • Huntress
  • Datto BCDR
  • The synfo Service Desk

What the results mean

  • A service shows as degraded or down. There's usually nothing to fix at your end. We'll be keeping an eye on it too, and service normally comes back once the provider fixes the problem.
  • Everything shows as operational but you're still having trouble. The problem is more likely to be specific to you, your device or your office. Log a ticket.
Tip

If a few colleagues have the same problem at the same time, mention that in your ticket. It helps us work out quickly whether it's a wider issue.

Quick checks at your end

If the status page looks fine, a couple of quick checks can help narrow it down before you log a ticket:

  • Try a different website or app. If nothing loads, the problem is more likely your internet connection.
  • Ask a colleague whether the same thing works for them.
  • Try the web version of the app (for example, Outlook on the web) to see whether the problem is with the app on your computer.

Include what you found in your ticket. It saves the engineer repeating the same steps.
