Intranet & collaboration

One place your team actually wants to work.

A modern SharePoint and Microsoft Teams intranet that replaces the shared drive nobody can find anything in and the group chat where policies get buried. One governed, searchable home for documents, news and process.

The business case

Why the shared drive stopped working a while ago.

Most businesses didn't choose their current document setup, it accumulated. A folder structure that made sense for five people breaks down at fifty, and a Teams channel is a terrible place to store the version of the policy that's actually current.

Shared drives don't scale.

Nested folders, duplicate copies and "final_v3" file names are what happens when a document structure grows without anyone designing it. Search stops working and staff start asking each other instead of looking it up.

Teams sprawl without structure.

Microsoft Teams is brilliant for conversation and terrible for permanent record if channels, files and permissions are never planned. A governed structure is the difference between Teams as a tool and Teams as chaos.

Knowledge walks out the door.

When process knowledge lives in one person's head or one person's inbox, it leaves when they do. A proper intranet turns tribal knowledge into a documented, searchable asset that outlasts any one staff member.

What we build

A modern intranet on the platform you already run.

We design the information architecture first, then build it out on SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams so it stays inside your existing Microsoft 365 environment rather than adding another system to manage.

Modern SharePoint intranet

A branded home site with news, quick links and department hubs, built on Microsoft's current SharePoint experience rather than a dated classic site.

Document libraries & governance

Version history, metadata, retention and approval workflows so the "current" version of a document is unambiguous and the old ones are recoverable, not lost.

Teams channel structure

A designed channel and permissions structure for Microsoft Teams so conversations, files and tabs stay organised as the business, and the team count, grows.

Search & findability

Navigation, metadata and search configuration tuned so staff can actually find what they're looking for in seconds, not minutes of folder-diving.

Company news & comms hub

A proper channel for announcements, policy updates and leadership communication that doesn't get lost in an email inbox or a chat thread.

Onboarding & policy hub

A dedicated space for new-starter onboarding, HR policies and compliance documents that's actually kept up to date because it's easy to update.

FAQ

Questions we get asked about intranets & collaboration.

Do we need to buy a new platform licence for this?
Usually not. Most of what we build sits on SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams, which are included in most Microsoft 365 Business and Enterprise plans. We confirm your exact licensing during the scoping call before recommending anything new.
Can you migrate our existing shared drives or an old SharePoint site?
Yes. Migrating from network shared drives, an outdated SharePoint site, or another document platform into a properly structured intranet is one of the most common projects we run.
How long does a typical intranet project take?
It depends on scope, but most projects of this type run from an information architecture workshop through to a working, migrated intranet in a matter of weeks rather than months. We confirm a firm timeline once the scope is agreed.
Do you provide training for staff once it's live?
Yes. Every intranet project includes staff training and simple how-to documentation, because an intranet nobody knows how to use doesn't get adopted.
What if we already started a SharePoint project that stalled?
We regularly pick up stalled or half-finished SharePoint projects, review what's there, and either repair the structure or rebuild the parts that aren't working.

Still relying on a shared drive and a group chat?

We'll review what you're currently working with and come back with an honest recommendation on structure, scope and cost, before anything is built.
